An estimated 462,760 Canadians received regular Employment Insurance (EI) benefits in March, up 9,870 from the previous month. The number of persons receiving regular EI benefits increased in eight provinces, with the largest advances in Saskatchewan (+6.7%) and Ontario (+3.8%). Regular benefit payments in March totalled $783.2 million.
